As you would have heard, Mt Roskill Intermediate and the surrounding Campus schools were instructed by the Ministry of Education, shortly after 9.30am, to go into lockdown.

We immediately initiated our lockdown procedures upon receiving this call. We stayed safely in lockdown until we were instructed by the Ministry of Education that it was safe to come out. We were in lockdown for just over 30 minutes.

All our students responded calmly and put their training into practice. We are very proud of how everyone responded.

It's timely to remind you that should you become aware of a lockdown or an evacuation at our school, that you do not attend the school or phone, as we will not be able to respond. Your presence or contact may make it more difficult for us or the emergency services to manage a situation. Our first and main priority is the safety of all students and staff on site.
