International Students
We welcome enrolment applications from International Students to study at Mount Roskill Intermediate School for short and long term study in New Zealand.
There is an inclusive and welcoming culture at Mt Roskill Intermediate School, where we are focussed on having all students ‘thrive’. Students are warmly welcomed and looked after with care by our staff and our students.
Our International Students enjoy their time at Mt Roskill Intermediate, experiencing a multicultural school, making friends and learning alongside our students in a diverse range of opportunities.
Students will have access to quality teaching and a New Zealand education. Students are able to take advantage of the many academic, cultural and sporting activities that our school has to offer.
Our programmes and resources are directed towards catering for students needs, supporting their development of English and experiencing New Zealand education.
- Students attend additional intensive English classes with our English as Second Language Specialist Teacher.
- Student’s academic learning needs and progress is closely monitored, along with social interaction and wellbeing.
- Additional support and resources for within the classroom programme are provided as needed.
Our professional practises, in all aspects of schooling, meet the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students which takes into account the students’ cultural identity and each individual’s circumstances.
