Message from the Principal

The school year is now at an end. It has been a great one!
|
|
Thank you for the ongoing trust and support that you have shown us as a school.
|
Yesterday we held our Year Eight Graduation to acknowledge and celebrate all of our Year Eight students. Congratulations to them all as they move onto their secondary schooling. They are a wonderful cohort of students who have left a positive impact. We look forward to continuing to follow their progress. Once MRI, you are MRI for life!

Congratulations to those students who were acknowledged at our Awards Assembly. Every one of our students, recognised or not, can be proud of what they have achieved in trying new things and the progress they made. We are very proud of them all.
|
Thank you to our families for your support this year, you are an important part of your child's success. We value your partnership.
|
Our warmest best wishes go to teachers Mr Sam Matthews, Mr Dan Cavit, Mr Keegan Fernandes and House Leader Mrs Alicia England who are moving to teach at other schools or moving overseas. We also wish Mrs Marianne Levy, after 27 years teaching at MRI, and Support Staff Mrs Farida Khan after 21 years, all the very best in their retirement. We greatly appreciate all they have contributed to MRI.

I would like to acknowledge the work of our wonderful staff who pour their heart and energy into making our school the best it can be for your children. Our students have achieved highly this year. This is evident in the great school that we are all a part of.

We are excited to see our Year Seven students continuing to thrive as Year Eights and stepping in an array of leadership roles and responsibilities next year.

We all hope that 2026 brings good things for you and your family.

We had a fantastic Recreation Day today at the Panmure Lagoon Pool and Leisure Centre, celebrating the end of an amazing school year with all our students.
|

Uniform
Our uniform provider is NZ Uniforms. From 2026 we have a NEW school uniform. All year 7 students must wear this new uniform. No Old uniform is permitted to be worn by Year 7 Students. Year 8 students can continue to wear the old uniform for 2026. From 2027 the whole school will be wearing the new uniform.
Stock is now available in store of our new uniform - except for the PE top which is another week or so away.
The NZ Uniform store will close at 1pm on Wednesday 24th December and will reopen on Monday 5th January 2026.

Our school office will be closing tomorrow (Friday 12th December) at midday.
The Office will reopen from Wednesday 21st January 2026 - 9am to 3pm, Thursday 22nd January - 9am to 3pm and Friday 23rd January, 9am to 1pm. From Tuesday 27th January we will be open 9am to 3.30pm and our normal office hours of 8am to 4pm will resume on the 2nd February.

Complete Stationery Packs with all your child's stationery needs for the year, will be delivered to your child's classroom at the start of the year. In late January you will be charged $30 for this pack. Payment is to be made through Kindo (our payment system).
